Creating the Extraordinary Student Experience: Office of Student Life

No Wireless Game Stations, Routers or Printers Supported on OSU wireless network!

OSU Wireless is a SECURE wireless network for the use of students, faculty and staff. For this reason, only devices that can connect wirelessly with strong security and encryption are supported on this network.

Game Stations (Xbox 360, PlayStation, Wii), and all other permissible electronics (TiVo, Vonage, Blu Ray) MUST use a wired connection.

PS3s and Wiis have web browsers that allow you to log on to Resnet with your OSU Internet (name.n) username and password. All other game stations and permissible devices must be registered at resnet.osu.edu.

You MAY use an unmanaged switch or hub to allow the physical connection of more than one device to the wall jack. If you are not sure if your switch acts as a router, please call us and we will find out for you.

CONNECTING ROUTERS TO RESNET MAY DISRUPT THE NETWORK AND INTRODUCE SECURITY RISKS FOR OTHER RESIDENCE HALL STUDENTS.

It is always illegal to upload, download and share copyrighted material. ResNet is not to be used for any illegal activity!
